How To Practice Solitude
In the midst of being an empathic full time mom, I find such pleasure in my alone time. If itβs during Sophieβs 45 minute afternoon nap, or once sheβs asleep at night – I like to recharge and work on regulating my emotions to help boost my overall mood.
- Take a step back from social media for a bit. Silence your phone and try to avoid checking notifications for a few hours.
- Find an activity or hobby that you can enjoy on your own. Learning a new hobby can help boost self-esteem, and accomplishing something makes you feel confident!
- Spend time outdoors. Being in nature can help you recharge.
- Take a warm shower, wash your hair, brush your teeth, lather on your skincare

Find Time To Journal
Keeping a journal or planner in armβs reach during the day can help you develop a habit of writing down words of affirmation.Β

Spoil Yourself
Come up with a list of self-care activities that you enjoy taking time to do. This could be as simple as lighting a candle and running a warm bubble bath, or buying a new pair of jeans. Make sure to spoil yourself once a week.
