Hi Fellow Plant Parent!
It’s so nice to meet you.

Iβm assuming that you have stumbled across this blog post because youβre interested in learning more about easy to care for house plants…
Well, youβve come to the right place β I am sharing with you my favorite plant and a few tips/tricks to get you started, including my favorite fertilizer and hangers to keep your babies hanging safety away from tiny humans fingers and pets!

The Childhood Favorite
My Aunt Carol had an abundance of trailing along her front porch β Pothos. With their noteworthy variegated leaves and vining capability, these guys have easily became my #1 favorite houseplant. Pothos are known for being a hearty plant that can survive both low and bright light conditions. Low light will produce dark green leaves, while as bright indirect light will give that pop of white variegation that I just love.
Theyβre also affordable and easy to propagate, which means more plant babies to add to your growing collection or gifts for your plant friends!
How to propagate Pothos –
This is a super fun idea when you want to share with your friends or create more greenery in your home!
Cut approximately 1/2 to one inch below the third leaf. Try to cut the steam at a 45-degree angle to achieve a clean cut. Place in fresh water and place in a well-lit window and wait for the roots to grow! (roots will typically start to appear as little as 5 days). Cuttings will be ready to be potted within 3-4 weeks.
When watering your Pothos, general rule of green thumb is to wait until the top soil is dry to the touch. This also varies on how much sunlight your plant is getting – more sunlight means more water. All plants are different though so make sure that you’re doing the finger poke test (stick your pointer finger about 2 inches into your soil. if it’s dry – it’s time to water!)
One last thing…
When it comes to keeping your little one’s hands/paws out of the plants, consider buying a few macramΓ¨ hangers for your home. They’re boho chic and can also help your plants reach that extra dose of sunlight since they’re typically hung by a window.
I have bought several of my hangers from Amazon HERE
If you’re also looking for other beautiful macramΓ¨ styles and goods, check out my sweet mama friend, Tyler over at CozyBohoDesigns!
She makes gorgeous bouquet wraps!
Did you know that Pothos can purify the air of formaldehyde, benzene and carbon monoxide? While also helping eliminate odors in your home! Talk about a helpful friend to have around!
