Can you believe that it’s already the first day of Fall?

Also known as my favorite time of year. Bike rides in the crispy cool morning air (upper 60’s of course because we live in Florida, AmIRight?)
Everything about Autumn makes my heart giddy! Give me a pumpkin spice latté and leave me to walk aimlessly down the store aisles with shelves filled with seasonal themed decor.

Growing up I always enjoyed a lot of time in the kitchen with my mom. That included baking and sometimes licking the cake batter off the spoon 🙂
She loved to bake sweet treats and always had homemade buttermilk biscuits ready to go in the mornings for breakfast to pair with a cup of coffee. Around this time of year she would create the coolest Halloween themed cupcakes and treats for my classroom while I was in elementary school. I remember her surprising my class with ‘Dirt Cups’ that were oozing with chocolate pudding and creepy crawly gummy worms…EVERYONE LOVED THEM! Baking around this time of year will always hold a special place in my heart.
